WordPress became 15 years old on May 27th 2018. For starters, WordPress is an Open Source Content Management System (CMS) that has made our life a lot easier especially when it comes to creating and managing a powerful websites and blogs. And there is no wonder that today it powers over 30% of the web on Internet.
WordPress communities gathered in various cities and towns all over the world to celebrate the 15th Anniversary.
In the coast region, the celebrations were held at Swahilipot Hub in Mombasa on Saturday, 2nd June 2018, where WordPress enthusiasts (bloggers, developers and fans) shared their experiences of the platform.
Led by Daniel Joakim, Steve Ogut and Francis Ikoha, we shared on how far WordPress has come and the future that it holds. Joakim took us through the most awaited project-Gutenberg which is going to release with WordPress 5.0. We had a preview of the beta version of Gutenberg. It is undoubtedly going to transform the editing experience and user experience like no others. Our life will become much more easy, efficient and beautiful.
We were thrilled to share the Anniversary cake
